# Get the default browser profile

> Fetch the browser profile sessions load by default when none is named.

Fetches your [default profile](/agents-api/browser/profiles#default-profiles) for a browser, or `404` when none exists yet. A default doesn't have to be set explicitly: the first session created with `use_default_browser_profile: true` auto-creates one.

**Returns** the [profile object](/agents-api/browser-profiles/retrieve).
